Germ Cell Tumors
Germ cell tumors form outside the brain (abdomen or chest). They account for 2% of all brain tumor cases. Germ cell tumors attach to the pineal gland area in the brain blocking fluid circulation. The tumors are common among children and teens (individuals aged 10 to 18 years). Fortunately, they can be tested easily using a typical blood test because they emit certain chemicals.
