Gliomas

30% of all brain tumor cases are glioma-related. Gliomas account for 80% of malignant brain tumors. Glioma tumors originate in the spine
or brain. As the name suggests, the tumors develop in the astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma or ependymoma cells or two or more combinations of these glial cells. Gliomas are associated with symptoms like; nausea, vomiting, headaches, vision problems and seizures as they grow. The tumor can be removed through surgery depending on placement, i.e., tumors that are closer to the delicate brain stem can only be removed partially to prevent brain damage.
