Chill Out
Stress does terrible things to the body, like stopping it from making antibodies or suppressing your immune response. Imagine what happens when a stressed out person gets the flu virus! An immune system already weakened from too much stress will not be able to defend against the flu or other respiratory illnesses. So what can you do?
First off, get better sleep. The average adult needs around 7 to 9 hours of quality rest every night in order to maintain a healthy immune system. Aside from committing to better sleep, you should also find other ways to lower your stress levels, such as exercising regularly, enjoying the outdoors, eating healthy food, and practicing mindfulness. Make time for rest and relaxation.
