Exhaustion
This is one symptom that is shared with many other medical conditions. Even when the person is not aware of it, having Fibromyalgia often causes the person to feel drained of energy, even for no apparent reason. Luckily, there is a great deal of research in this area and research has found that one cause (which seems quite obvious, really) is due to the loss of sleep, which is associated with Fibromyalgia.
Individuals with Fibromyalgia often experiences a vicious cycle of not being able to get adequate sleep due to the pain that they experience and then feeling tired because of this. Over an extended period of time, this lack of sleep and the resulting exhaustion and plummeting energy levels can really take a toll on the body’s immune system.
