Muscle Spasms
Another symptom is muscle spasms that are usually nothing more than an annoyance for most of us. However, those with Fibromyalgia often experience spasms that are more extreme and often painful. More research is needed to determine why this seems to be the case since the link is currently unclear.
Often a specific muscle experiences spontaneous spasms that occur over and over again. Sometimes these spasms are hard to predict and can happen at anytime and anywhere. However, more often than not they follow a specific pattern, having an affect on one specific group of muscles. For many, the muscle spasms seem to get worse at night, which can lead to difficulties falling (and staying) asleep.
