Constant Colds
Did you know that the common cold is actually spread by over 200 different strains of rhinoviruses that are present in the air? These rhinoviruses attach to the nasal lining and then invade the blood stream, where they inject their genetic material into the hosts, reproduce, then explode out of the cell. When this happens, the immune system usually goes into red alert, leaving us indisposed, sniffly, and cranky for a few days. Some people develop more symptoms than others. Some feel under the weather for a day or so then are fine.
However, when you have a weakened immune system, the common cold is going to be truly common, so much you might feel like having a cold is now your normal life. You can help strengthen your immune system against the common cold by washing your hands, eating fortifying foods, and ensuring you get enough rest.
