Could you have a weakened immune system? More than one sign, like getting frequent colds, could be pointing towards yes. When functioning properly, the immune system can ward off attacks from bacteria, fungi, viruses, free radicals, and other harmful substances that are present all around us. Dr. Tania Elliot, a board-certified Allergist/Immunologist at NYU Langone Health states, “Chronic disease, either disease of the immune system itself (immunodeficiency or autoimmunity) or other conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease) can all weaken the immune system.” For that reason, if you have been diagnosed with a risk for certain diseases or presently have metabolic syndrome or other medical conditions, you should discuss your immune system health with your doctor.

That said, there are small changes you can make to your life. If you want to know how to tackle the signs that reveal a weakened immune system and what to do about it, tap Read More below keep on reading.
