Most cancerous tumors do not hurt until they start pressing on other organs. Your pancreas is very close to your stomach, kidneys, and other vital organs. As it grows, it can even affect the spine. In many people, the first sign of a tumor is a constant, persistent stomach or back ache that never seems to respond to treatment.
