    Non-Functioning Neuroendocrine Tumors

    Non-functioning neuroendocrine tumors are malignant tumors of the pancreas that are made of tissue that should produce hormones. However, for various reasons they do not produce any biochemicals at all. As a result, they do not cause any symptoms until they are so large that they are extremely difficult to treat. One of the first signs of these tumors is a growing and distended stomach.
