VIPomas are tumors that produce vasoactive intestinal peptide. Despite the name, it will not make you a VIP. In large amounts, this protein causes explosive diarrhea, with episodes several times a day and even more than once an hour. If everything you eat or drink goes right through you and exits at alarming speed, this type of tumor of the pancreas may be to blame.
