Gallbladder and Liver Disease
A tumor of the pancreas can block the ducts that drain the gallbladder. As a result, the gallbladder can become enlarged and distended. Your doctor may even be able to feel it when examining your stomach. Similarly, the liver can become enlarged due to this back up. An enlarged liver or gallbladder is always cause for further testing.
