Preventing Hepatitis A
Countries with the highest prevalence rates should focus on vaccination. If the vaccine is not readily available, the focus should shift to maintaining proper hygiene standards such as washing hands regularly. People living in high-risk areas should also bath regularly and dispose of waste like soiled diapers responsibly. Since Hepatitis A can also be spread via contaminated food, it is important to cook food properly and practice high hygiene standards in the kitchen. This includes; washing hand before and after handling food as well as maintaining high cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
