Hepatitis A Treatment
Hepatitis A treatment focuses on recovery which can take a few weeks to months. There is no specific Hepatitis A treatment. Some of the factors facilitating recovery include; maintaining high fluid levels, maintaining a comfortable posture as well as ensuring you take a well-balanced diet.
Immunoglobulin shots (shots containing antibodies capable of destroying Hepatitis A) can also aid treatment. These shots are highly recommended to adults who tend to get more severe reactions/symptoms than children. However, immunoglobulin shots aren’t long-term treatment options. In fact, they don’t prevent the hepatitis virus from spreading.
