Since MS affects the brain, it is not surprising that the brain is affected. In fact, in about 50-percent of all MS cases, the patients experience some form of cognitive impairment. This can be in the form of memory loss, inability to focus, concentration issues, reduced attention spans, or disorganization.

People with MS find it hard to focus on one thing for a long period of time. Although rare, the cognitive impairment can become severe enough to affect the quality of daily life. Some individuals developed language problems and saw their mental health negatively impacted.
