Unusual Sensations
Aside from muscle pain, stiffness, and spasms, individuals have reported that they get sensations in their body similar to stabbing, itching, burning, or even tearing. While numbness is the usual sensation that people with MS feel, some people get the exact opposite.
These unusual sensations begin in one or more limbs then spread throughout the entire body. Intensity will increase as the sensation spreads. A less common sensation has been referred to as the MS hug (or medically, dysesthesia), where sufferers feel like they are tightly bound and report feeling constricted around the ribs and upper belly.
