Blurred Vision

Pink eye can also cause blurred or altered vision; however, luckily, this is temporary. The reason for this is due to the fact that the eye tissue and eyelid can become so inflamed that it impedes proper vision. Another symptom is a sensitivity to light, so it might be beneficial to dim the lights if possible. If you are a contact lens wearer, it is highly suggested that you switch to your glasses since you will likely have difficulty putting them in and they can also irritate your eyes even further. Contact lenses can also lead to an increase in swelling which can lead to even more discomfort. If you happen to experience any changes in vision, make sure to seek medical attention. Don’t assume that the cause is pink eye since there are much more serious infections and diseases that can lead to blurry and altered vision. Some of these infections and diseases are more worrisome and can lead to more permanent vision impairment so make sure to talk to your doctor just to be sure.
