Burning Eyes
Another symptom of pink eye is a burning sensation in the eye. When your body makes an attempt to eliminate an irritant, it can lead to a feeling of burning in the eye. Luckily the burning sensation will go away once the pink eye infection has been treated. Unfortunately, this feeling of burning can be extremely painful. If it becomes too much to handle, speak to your doctor to see if they can prescribe you with pain medication or artificial tears to take the edge off. You could also try out some home remedies such as a cold compress or cucumber slices. Since a burning sensation of the eye could also be an indicator of other health issues such as allergies, speak to your doctor if you experience this symptom in order to ensure that there isn’t something more serious at work.
