Never Underestimate a Cold
Although the common cold is not considered life-threatening, that doesn’t mean you should underestimate a cold or not take precautions. The common cold will clear up without much medications or care in under 2 weeks. That said, people who are at risk of developing complications could worsen.
If you are among the elderly, have respiratory conditions (such as asthma and emphysema), are a smoker, or have other health problems, a cold can affect you much harder.
