Sit Up Straight

Contrary to popular belief, posture is more important than you think. Experts recommend proper posture, i.e., sitting up straight during eating to get rid of unnecessary pressure on the lungs. You can improve your posture by using a high back chair when eating. Reclining or assuming a slouched position compresses the lungs and compromises your breathing. It can also increase the risks of suffering from other problems like chocking which when coupled with COPD breathing difficulties can cause severe problems.
