Stimulate The Mind
Mental stimulation is extremely important for keeping the mind active and healthy. This plays into cognitive health, which affects an individual’s ability to remember, think, and learn. While mental stimulation is ideal for warding off dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, many elderly people are struggling to stay busy and maintain cognitive health. This brings on brain fog, depression, anxiety, and can even make remembering short term tasks difficult.
Aging minds need to remain engaged with hobbies, interests, and things like brain games and teasers, puzzles, crosswords, social activity, and reading or writing. Never stop exercising your brain.
