Hiking
One of the greatest things you can do for your children is to introduce them to the great outdoors. While camping, as mentioned earlier, is an excellent way to do that, you might not always have the time or money to rent a campsite or cabin in the woods. Hiking, however, can be done almost anywhere in the world and costs next to nothing to do.
Head to the nearest forested park in your area, or local trails, or even take a road trip to one of the nearest national parks. Whether you spend the whole day hiking or several, you can get plenty of exercise, teach your children survival lessons, play games, go swimming in watering holes, see native wildlife, have picnics, stargaze, and so much more.
