Other Health Conditions Linked With PCOS
Polycystic ovarian syndrome has been linked with other health conditions, including things like diabetes, high LDL cholesterol levels, depression, anxiety, high blood pressure (hypertension), endometrial cancer, and sleep apnea.
Women with PCOS are at an elevated risk of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Pair this with a greater instance of hypertension, reduced levels of HDL cholesterol, and being overweight, and it is no wonder that PCOS patients also have a greater chance of getting a stroke or heart disease.
