Services that save time
Smart people also splurge on services that are bound to save them time. If getting your groceries delivered at home instead of going to the grocery store saves you time, there is nothing wrong with spending a little more on a delivery service. The same applies to hiring a house cleaner or getting your laundry done by someone else. If you spend the time you would otherwise waste on such activities focusing on your work; you would come out ahead according to Palmer. This is regardless of the savings you enjoy handling such activities.
Palmer advices on splurging money on things which put more time in your hands allowing you to get the best out of life. According to Palmer, money should serve you, i.e., allow you to live the kind of life you want and this means spending as much time as possible on what makes you happy. People who are considered smart with money pride themselves in using money to free up their time.
