2. Excessive bilirubin

When an excess of cholesterol is secreted by the liver, it might not be possible for your bile to break it down efficiently. When the body breaks down red blood cells, it creates a chemical known as bilirubin. When there is too much of this chemical it can also lead to problems. Reasons for an excessive production of bilirubin include cirrhosis of the liver, biliary tract infections, and different blood disorders.
