Nail Pitting
Nail pitting is the proper name for small depressions in your fingernails or toenails and there are a variety of different reasons why this occurs. This pitting can appear as white spots or it can appear as though someone took an ice pick to your nails. Onycholysis, or nail psoriasis, is a condition that causes the nails to become loose and separate from the nail bed. In extreme cases, Onycholysis can cause the crumbling of the nails.
