Thyroid Cancer Affects Women Most Often
Again, thyroid issues are most likely going to be diagnosed in women. Thyroid cancer is no different. Women often go to the doctor with a literal lump in their throat or after they have issues with swallowing and breathing to find out that they have a tumor. Sometimes, the lump doesn’t cause much pain. Yet, when a lump or nodule on the thyroid causes pain to the touch, it is almost always malignant.
Your doctor will give you a brief exam in the office then might order x-rays or CT scans. You might also need to get blood work.
