Treatment For Hyperthyroidism
Sometimes, the thyroid will behave erratically. When it becomes hyperactive, resulting in hyperthyroidism, it will start pumping out much more thyroid hormone than you need. Initially, you will receive a burst of energy—but that’s short lived. Hyperthyroidism causes immense stress on the body by increasing the rate of metabolism. You could lose too much weight unexpectedly and have chronic exhaustion. Unlike hypothyroidism, where you are prescribed with hormone replacement therapy, hyperthyroidism might require taking radioactive iodine or even the removal of some of the thyroid to slow hormone production.
