Excellent Pattern Recognition
This symptom can be a complete contrast to other symptoms. While a person with Asperger’s may have poor handwriting, their ability to notice patterns is unmatched. Excellent pattern recognition is usually attributed to a sufferer’s struggle with making sense of their surroundings. This struggle makes it easier to identify patterns.
This symptom may be evident from childhood (during early schooling) when children start developing neural pathways to recognizing patterns. Although children with Asperger’s tend to struggle with schooling and the overall setting, pattern-related math and art problems tend to be very enriching. It is advisable to foster this natural talent from an early age.
