Epidural Steroid Injections
If nothing else is working, you may want to talk to your doctor about steroid injections. This is a more extreme therapy that is only recommended for those with intense discomfort that lasts longer than a month. The steroid injection near the nerves helps to greatly lower inflammation. However, you can only get three a year because excess steroid exposure can cause issues like loss of bone density.
