Give Yourself Time To Grieve
The holidays are not always bright and merry. For many who have experienced the loss of a loved one, there is a grief that looms every single day. You will think about loved one often, and you will miss them. Mourning this loss will bring about emotions, such as cynicism, hopelessness, anger, and guilt.
You are allowed to feel all these things. Acknowledge those emotions. Know where they come from. This is an essential step in grieving healthily. If you are struggling with the grief, allot some time in the holidays to speaking with a support group or therapist or family; take up mindfulness practices, like meditation or yoga; and be sure to get plenty of sleep.
