Attention
While expecting undivided attention could be the equivalent of clinginess—which isn’t healthy—you shouldn’t have to fight for attention. “Healthy relationships require a give-and-take when it comes to communication—both talking and listening,” says Rappaport. While this doesn’t mean you have to drop what you are doing to listen all the time, you should both make time to listen to each other and work things out. You should never be too busy or too preoccupied to communicate.
