Spinning
You may also feel as if your head is spinning when you have vertigo even when sited or standing still. This feeling resembles the feeling you experience when you spin yourself around and stop suddenly or when you step off a merry-go-round. This symptom tends to intensify when the eyes are closed. This is usually the case as the brain tries to harmonize the signals it gets from the ear with signals from other senses. The signals are interpreted incorrectly to mean you are moving when you are still. If the spinning sensation doesn’t stop after a few minutes, you should see a doctor immediately.
