Ear Discharge

Typical ear infections come with a discharge that is yellowish or white in color. The distinct color of the discharge makes it easy to identify and distinguish from earwax. The discharge usually originates from a ruptured eardrum. The discharge can also be a combination of inner ear fluids, earwax, and blood. If there are traces of blood in the ear discharge, this is a clear indication of injury in the ear which could be caused by anything as small as a scratch to serious inner ear damage. Ear discharge is usually seen as stains on a pillow when you wake up. The discharge also has other distinct characteristics like a foul smell.
