Unstable Self-Image
Those suffering from BPD will struggle with self-image and their identity. They might not be able to tap into an idea of who they are. Sometimes, while they can generally feel good about themselves, they might suddenly shift and start hating themselves or see themselves as evil.
Also, people with borderline personality disorders have an unstable sense of self, meaning they will a set of behaviors for one group of people that is entirely different from how they interact with another group. Because of this, they will shift their ideals, particularly about what they want out of life. It is not uncommon for individuals with BPD to change jobs, lovers, friends, values, religions, and even their sexual identity frequently.
