Vomiting
Gallstone-related pain can cause vomiting. This symptom is common after meals. Vomiting can relieve stomach pain and gas problems. However, it can cause extreme nausea and fever in severe cases. The resulting pain is called colic or biliary pain. It can last for 1 to several hours after a meal and tends to occur at night when sleeping or when a person assumes a sleeping position. Biliary colic is a daily problem but is usually triggered when one consumes a fatty or large meal. We already know the gallbladder plays a crucial role in digestion (especially fats) which explains why this symptom is a problem immediately after a fatty or large meal.
