Fever
People who have gallstones or those who get gallbladder attacks tend to experience fever and chills. This symptom is typical when diagnosing bile duct infections. University of Maryland researchers at the university’s Medical Center have conducted a study whose results indicated that one in every three gallstone sufferers get fever and chills. However, it’s important to note that the fever doesn’t arise from bile duct blockage but rather because of other problems like acute cholecystitis alongside other symptoms like nausea and vomiting.
Anyone who experiences a combination of the above symptoms should see a doctor immediately. Gallbladder inflammation (acute cholecystitis can cause death. It can cause gallbladder perforation or gangrene when left untreated.
