Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis, more commonly referred to as MS, is a chronic autoimmune disorder that is caused by central nervous system damage, specifically the myelin sheath. MS is a condition that worsens over time and is associated with a variety of symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, and loss of balance. One of the main symptoms of MS is a numbing or tingling sensation, usually in the legs. These sensations can be minor, causing only
some discomfort, or can be severe, resulting in pain, and the inability to stand and walk for long periods of time without the use of a device such as a cane.
