Signs of Diverticulitis
Abdominal Pain
Not every patient is going to get an infection from diverticulitis, but most develop abdominal pain. The pain is often located on the left side of the torso and will last for more than a week. While it is uncommon for the pain to be on the right of the body, it does sometimes occur. Diet, ethnicity, and other lifestyle factors contribute to where the pain is going to form should you get diverticulitis.
If you suspect you are constipated but have pain on the right or left side that lasts longer than 2-3 days, you should suspect diverticulitis.
