Crackers and Cookies
Items like crackers and cookies are not really on this list for their nutritional value—because most are devoid of any healthy. But they do have a purpose: Normalcy. Crackers, cookies, and other snacks, like crisps and pretzels, are comforting and will help ease anxieties when things look bleak.
You can used crackers in soups to thicken up the broth. Pretzels taste good with nut butters. Cookies can be used to soothe anxious children or as a dessert. Chips can be used on tuna sandwiches or as an accompaniment to other foods.
Be sure to store your crackers, cookies, and chips in air-tight canisters. Otherwise, they may go stale quickly or become prey to pests.
