Common Cold

Seasonal flu, also known as common cold is a viral infection affecting the nasal passages. A common cold causes accumulation of mucus in the throat, nose, and chest (sometimes). The accumulation drains down (in a similar fashion to post-nasal drip) but causes sinus, lung or upper airway infections. A common cold can turn into a severe respiratory illness such as sinusitis, bronchitis or pneumonia if left untreated.
