Persistent Cough
Having a cough that does not go away can be a sign of upper respiratory tract infection or a lung illness like sinusitis and bronchitis. That said, if you start coughing up bloody saliva or mucus, the persistent cough could be a sign of early cancer.
If you have spots of blood showing up after you cough, it could be a sign of neck, lung, or head cancer. When the blood lasts for more than a month, you need to contact a doctor as soon as possible.
