Persistent and Extreme Fatigue
In this busy world, it is not uncommon to be tired often or getting much sleep. You might even find that napping and a cup of coffee are not enough to extinguish the fatigue you feel. Still, if the fatigue becomes lethargy and you cannot get enough rest despite all your efforts, it is a clear sign that something is wrong.
Cancer is usually described as a kind of tiredness that will affect your entire life. You may find it hard to participate in things you usually enjoy, and that may even put a strain on relationships and work.
Fatigue may occur for various reasons. Leukemia and lymphoma cause fatigue because the cancer is attacking your bone marrow, resulting in fewer blood cells, and subsequently leading to anemia. Stomach cancer may cause tiredness because of blood loss. Then there are the cancers that impact the endocrine system, as well as the metabolism of tumors.
