Unfortunately, there are certain health conditions that are more likely to be an issue for certain demographics of people. For instance, people of colour are at a higher risk of developing diabetes according to some studies. Sadly, the reason for why this is the case is unclear. The group that is most likely to be affected by gallstones are individuals who are overweight, especially obese women who have born children and are currently using oral contraceptives. Moreover, people who are over the age of 40 are much more likely to develop gallstones.
