Symptom: Skeletal System

Symptoms of Marfan syndrome can appear at any age, whether its in infancy, childhood, or adulthood. Individuals can also experience different symptoms. The most common symptom individuals with Marfan syndrome will experience is the way this condition affects their skeletal system.

Marfan syndrome will create a visible symptom in how bones and joints appear. People with this syndrome are unusually tall and slim with disproportionately long arms, legs, fingers, and toes in relation to the rest of their body. They tend to have long, narrow faces and have crowded teeth that are caused by an arch in the roof of their mouth. Their breastplate can stick out or cave inward, and they usually develop scoliosis.
