Fever and Chills

Infections are bound to cause fevers as the body fights off the invading bacteria. Temperatures of 100-degrees Fahrenheit and above are not uncommon. Chills will accompany the fever, so it is best to dress warmly, drink hot beverages, and rest. Usually, patients will not develop a fever and chills until the infection has been ongoing for some time. Keep in mind that if the infection is left untreated, the condition will worsen. Once you have gotten a fever and the chills, you need to go to a doctor to avoid any permanent damage to your kidneys.
