Fever
In 60-85 percent of active tuberculosis cases, there is a low-grade fever. Younger patients typically do not suffer from fevers like older TB patients do. Generally, fevers will begin in the later afternoon hours and extend well into the evening, affecting sleep.
Fever is also connected to other factors, such as having a history of TB, resulting in recurring fever; lesions; certain strains of bacteria in the system; and other conditions, like the immune response from the body.
