Sponge Stamps
Trying to entertain the kids? Sponges are excellent for an impromptu art class. You can cut sponges into shapes—stars, diamonds, circles, squares—and use them as stamps. Coat them in watercolors or acrylics, smash them against paper, and—viola—you have picture worthy of the refrigerator door.
You can use sponges in other arts and crafts projects, too. You can make water bombs for the pool by cutting sponges into strips then binding them together at the center. Make sponge boats, sponge necklaces, or sponge Jenga. The options are limitless.
Of course, you could always just cut up those sponges and use them to separate your toes after painting your nails, as well.
