If You Are Pregnant Or Breastfeeding
Although some research has found that being on a ketogenic diet can improve the chances of becoming pregnant, once pregnancy occurs it is suggested that ketogenic eating be ceased since there are innumerable different benefits to eating foods high in carbohydrates such as nuts, fruits and vegetables. Therefore, if you insist on sticking to the Keto diet during pregnancy/and or breastfeeding it is important to make sure that you do so under the supervision of a health care professional since there is nothing more important than making sure that your developing fetus/baby gets the required nutrients. Also, when breastfeeding, a high amount of energy is lost through breastfeeding; therefore, it is important to ensure an adequate amount of carbohydrates are being consumed.
