While this is less of a symptom and more of a product of the pain and discomfort that you go through with a kidney stone, it should not be very surprising. When someone is in terrible pain from a kidney stone, it will not matter what position they are in—they will be in pain. This usually prompts people to changing position, fidgeting, and moving around a lot, which can actually exacerbate other symptoms and make things worse.
