Vomiting and Nausea
Aside from abdominal pain and the inability to use the bathroom, you may also feel extremely nauseous or even begin vomiting. Many patients who have experienced nausea with diverticulitis note that it is not continuous but will happen sporadically over a course of several days.
While vomiting and nausea are symptoms of a plethora of medical conditions, you should overlook them. Anytime you experience a long period of nausea and vomiting should be seen as suspicious, and you should seek medical attention. After all, too much vomiting may lead to dehydration, and that will worsen your overall condition.
